Hot Space is Queen's tenth studio album and maybe Queen's less popular album with their fans because the band employed many elements of disco, funk, rhythm & blues, dance and pop music throughout the album.
The decision to record a dance-orientated album laid upon the band's success in the USA with their single Another One Bites The Dust.
Hot Space was recorded at the Musicland Studios in Munich and their Mountain Studios in Montreux between 1981-82.
The most noticeable track on Hot Space is Under Pressure; this was a separate project, which was recorded ahead of work on recording the album, seeing the band's collaboration with David Bowie.
