"Scandal" is a Queen single from their studio album "The Miracle", written by Brian May, but credited to Queen; it was released in the UK in 1989.
The song was written when Brian May and Freddie Mercury received unwanted attention from the British press; May was going through divorce proceedings with his first wife, Chrissie Mullen, and was in a relationship with Anita Dobson.
The press was also growing speculation over Mercury's health, particularly as Mercury's appearance was changing (for example, his weight loss), which helped fuel the speculation that he was seriously ill. Of course, Freddie Mercury was diagnosed with HIV/AIDS in 1987, but Mercury did not publicly reveal his diagnosis until the day before he died in 1991.
The music video for "Scandal" features the band performing on a stage designed to look like a newspaper, filmed at the Pinewood Studios.
