MAJESTY AT THE CATFORD BROADWAY THEATRE 26/04/19

On Friday 26th April 2019, "Majesty Queen Tribute Band" performed their fantastic show at The Broadway Theatre, Catford .

My good friend Kyrie Gemma Baldwin who is a Fan of #Queen and also a Fan of #Majesty was in the audience with her Best Friend Lynsey.

They had an amazing night. Please read Kyrie's amazing Write-up.

Tonight I had myself a real good time I felt so alive. Myself and my friend Lynsey were so excited the day had finally come we were going to be seeing the fabulous Majesty at the Catford Broadway Theatre. We arrived at the Theatre at 6:55pm and were in the queue waiting to go in. There were lots of people there so I hoped the show would be sold out. The doors were opened at 7pm for attendees to start taking their seats me and Lynsey were in Row C, Seats 12 and 13 in the stalls so we had a fantastic view. Lynsey and I took a selfie in our seats.

The auditorium slowly filled up and by the time the show begun just after half 7 I couldn’t see an empty seat in the whole place. The lights dimmed, the auditorium went crazy everyone was screaming and Majesty came on stage. Seth bounded on to the stage with all the energy of Freddie and had the biggest smile he called out to the crowd and then went straight into One Vision. Everyone was clapping, stomping their feet and singing.

Once the requests were finished they sung Bohemian Rhapsody everyone joined in with this and sung louder than ever imaginable. As it was ending we sung the 2nd to last line Seth turned to the audience with the biggest grin on his face before singing the final line. He went around band introducing them all to the audience before introducing himself and then returning to the piano and playing the final song We Are the Champions everyone had their arms in the air and at times Seth stopped singing so he could hear the audience singing back to him. Majesty came across the stage before leaving and had a bow, Seth and Peter went along the audience at the stage shaking everyone’s hands, I got a shake from both of these lovely gentlemen and little wink from Seth. Just before they went off stage Seth mentioned he and Peter would be in the lobby for pictures. As me and Lynsey left the auditorium we couldn’t stop talking we were both buzzing with excitement, adrenaline call it what you like but we were so happy, I said to Lynsey I can’t believe Seth actually mentioned me by name and looked straight at me he mentioned my request it just meant the world.

The interval came at just after half 8, Lynsey and I were buzzing and were talking about how amazing Majesty were not just as their respective Queen Members but as musicians and how wonderfully they gelled together as a band. We were laughing, smiling and just having the best time. Majesty came back on stage around 9pm. Seth dedicated a song to the audience which was Crazy Little Thing Called Love I couldn’t help but get up and have a dance, Seth saw me and gave me a thumbs up and wave, I thought could he of recognised me from me talking to him over the last few months but I wasn’t sure. I went to the front and up to the stage. I was dancing and singing my heart out, Lynsey joined me not long after and we danced, sung and took pics. At the end of Crazy Little Thing Called Love a few of the fans got a kiss from Seth and Chris, others called out for one but Seth told us not to worry as he would give us all a kiss later on, he sure had that Freddie sass and charm. When they were going to play We Will Rock You, Seth told the crowd he wanted them all on their feet and he started doing the famous stomp stomp clap whilst James was playing the same rhythm on his drums.

I stamped my feet and clapped my hands as loud as I could along with the rest of the crowd around me also at the stage front and sung out loud. Seth took a short recording of the crowd during We Will Rock You the whole audience were on their feet and rocking out so hard. Then came the part of the show in which Seth sung some of the requests of the audience. The first request was Love of My Life I had goosebumps and butterflies as Seth sung this his voice full of emotion and strength, the 2nd request was my song Your My Best Friend Seth said my name and looked me in the eyes before pointing at me, he mentioned that I’d messaged earlier that day and was there with my best friend, he asked if anyone else was there with their best friends and lots of the audience cheered. Seth started playing the piano and then followed by James on Drums and Chris and Peter on the guitar and bass. I sung along and hugged my friend Lynsey. She recorded this and caught Seth mentioning me again at the end of my request too. The last one they did was Death On Two Legs, They were pleased this song was requested as they had always wanted to play it but did apologise in case they messed it up.

We went downstairs to the lobby there was quite a queue for pictures but it went down pretty quickly Seth saw me as he was having a picture taken with a young lady before me and asked if she was my best friend I said no and said Lynsey who was stood behind me was my best friend. When it got to my turn Seth called me over by name and gave me the warmest yet softest and friendliest hug I’d ever had. He commented on my Freddie T-Shirt saying how awesome it looked and thanked me for coming saying it was amazing to see me rocking at the stage. I turned around had my pictures taken with Seth and Peter, I asked if it was possible for me and Lynsey to have a picture together with them, Seth was more than happy to oblige and offered to take a selfie.

I then took Lynsey’s photos with Peter and Seth on her own, Seth gave me another hug and kiss on the cheek before I was going to leave. I almost forgot to give him the gifts I had bought for them after the next person had their picture I quickly managed to speak with Seth and told him I’d got the tea bags he requested and also 2 bars of Galaxy for Majesty to share, he called me a darling and gave me another hug and kiss and said he would make sure the other boys got some of my treats, I thanked him, put my coat on and Lynsey and I left. As we left we didn’t stop talking about how amazing the night had been and how much we were both buzzing with happiness. Lynsey said we must see Majesty again I agreed whole heartedly. We were picked up by Lynsey’s husband at I got home just before 11 tired but extremely happy and in a heaven like state.
