Jennie Taylor
Here I am again, happily writing another blog 10 months after my first time seeing Majesty. This time along with me and my mum was my sister and my 7 year old niece. They too are huge huge Queen fans. I told them both they will love the guys.
We got to the club 2.5 hours before they were due to come on stage, just so we could get a good seat. Rocking with our queen tops on… Everyone whether it was Seth, Peter, James or Chris came out of their little room. My niece was the first to spot them she got so excited. Waving her little arms in front of her and screeching 😁
The time up until 9.30 went so slow. Anyway 9.30 arrived and the DJ stopped the music and Majesty came on stage. Me, my mum, sister and niece all began to cheer. We stood right in front of the stage. The fellas were amazing like usual. When Seth said if anyone had a request to put them on Facebook so I wrote something on their page and they dedicated it to my niece Lola. She was absolutely buzzing.
They went off for a well deserved break, then came back on a bit later. I didn't want the night to end. My favourite songs of the night were "Fat Bottomed Girls", "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We Will Rock You". Bearing in mind I had tonsillitis this night, the drink helped and I did nothing but sing the night away.
Majesty's lovely helper and fellow blogger Lyn got me a flyer from the show "One Night With Freddie" to get it signed by the guys. They were singing their last song and I'm waving my flyer hoping that Seth or Peter would see. Anyway Seth saw it and a few minutes later, after finishing, he came over to meet us with Peter. What lovely decent guys they are. I got it signed by them both and we all had some pictures taken. My niece was so excited that she had a picture with Seth, and so was I. We said what a fab night it was and we will hopefully see them in Ashton in September, when they play local again.
We're so lucky we actually saw them, because as I write this we're in Lockdown. A day or two later and I bet it would have been cancelled. Thank you so much guys for making our night special. Roll on September. Rock on and take care!
Ps… If you ever start doing merchandise i'll be the first to buy 😂
Much love
Jennie Taylor
Carrie-Ann Leigh
Hello, I'm Carrie-Ann, 34 and I live in Swinton, Greater Manchester. I have been a fan of Queen for as long as I can remember! My Mum and Dad brought me up listening to Queen, Guns 'N' Roses, Thin Lizzy, and The Who to name a few. Queen were always my favourite. Obsession took over in my teens, and the closest I could get was to go see tributes with my Mum. I have seen many tributes over the years and I first heard about Majesty in 2019.
Late last year, my Mum found that Majesty were going to be doing a gig at The New Stalybridge Labour Club (my hometown) on Friday March 13th 2020. I just knew we had to go!
With it being a club, I was able to take my 7 year old daughter Lola with me too (she loves Queen also 😊).
So, fast forward to March 13th 2020, myself and Lola arrived at my parents with my sister Jennie and our little suitcase. We were all so excited as we couldn't believe the night had finally arrived. We all got ready with all of us donning our Queen t-shirts and Lola with her Freddie Live Aid t-shirt. We arrived early at the club, got a good seat, but I knew we wouldn't be sat when Majesty did come on! We would all be singing and dancing away.
We did spot Peter coming from the dressing room, I said 'Hello, lovely to meet you Peter' and I shook his hand. Lola was so giddy she kept calling him Brian 😁
The guys came on stage around 9.30pm and began their set with 'One Vision'. We were hooked. Singing along with Seth, whilst Peter, Chris and James played, it was just amazing. My favourite songs of the night were "Under Pressure", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "I Want to Break Free" and Seth did some Freddie 'Day-oh's' during "Another One Bites The Dust".
In fact, Majesty even dedicated 'I Want To Break Free' to Lola after my sister Jennie requested a song for her. She was so happy and couldn't believe 'Freddie' said her name.
Before we knew it, the show was over, and after clapping, cheering and whooping, the guys were just going off stage and we asked for a picture. Seth nodded and said 'one minute'. Seth and Peter then came out to see us, we thanked them for an amazing show and told them how brilliant they all were. We were so lucky to get a group photo, the four of us with Seth and Peter and some of us with just Seth (Freddie). The guys were so down to earth and really friendly.
We said our goodbyes and left the club on a complete high! Majesty are THE BEST Queen tribute I've ever seen. I highly recommend anyone to see them, keep up the fantastic work guys, we can't wait to see you all again X
Hope you have enjoyed reading about Jennie and Carrie-Ann night.
