"Made In Heaven" is the fourth single released by Freddie Mercury as a solo artist and originally featured on Mercury's debut album "Mr. Bad Guy". The song was modified and released as a 45rpm single on July 1st 1985 in the UK, Japan, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil. It was later included in the 2016 "Messenger Of The Gods" boxed set, pressed onto 7" translucent red vinyl
For the song's music video, inspired by the 1952 film The Importance of Being Earnest, a replica of the Royal Opera House was built within a North London warehouse, where Mercury had wanted to recreate scenes from Stravinskij's The Rite of Spring and Dante's Inferno. As the video draws towards its end part, a 67-foot tall rotating globe is revealed with Mercury appearing to be standing above it using a raised platform.
Throughout the video, Mercury is dressed in a similar outfit to what he wore in the video for Queen's "Radio Ga Ga" single.
After Mercury died in 1991, the song's title gave the name to Queen's 1995 album "Made in Heaven", where Mercury's "Made In Heaven" and "I Was Born to Love You" were chosen by the remaining members of Queen to be re-recorded for the album, with the previous vocals mixed into a newly recorded instrumental track.
