Majesty Rock Melksham

Majesty did it again, as they performed a spectacular rock show at the Melksham Assembly Hall. Melksham Assembly Hall is a lovely versatile 400 seat concert hall which hosts a variety of cinema and theatre shows for the local community. On the 26th May 2017, Majesty hit the stage to perform their “Champions of Rock” Queen tribute show. The show features a mixture of hard hitting fan favourites, alongside some very special renditions of songs such as “Play the Game.” The night saw hundreds of Queen fans on their feet, clapping their hands and shouting out loud “We Will Rock You”.

“It amazes me that this music has such amazing power. For one moment we stand in a room filled with strangers, all connected and sharing a magical moment. That’s the power of music and really, that’s the power of Queen.” – Seth Daniels tells us backstage after walking off to a standing ovation.

Majesty are used to touring all over Europe and performing in a variety of different venues, from traditional theatre spaces to outdoor festivals. Melksham Assembly Hall sits in the heart of Melksham and offers the local community an extremely versatile space in which to hold a variety of entertainment as well as being available for private hire for functions and parties.

“You find that these smaller concert halls are the perfect place to hold concerts for bands like ours. They tend to be very intimate, and have a sense of nostalgia in the old days when you would stand shoulder to shoulder in a smoky university hall, waiting for these up and coming rock bands to hit the stage. It feels like we’re stepping into the early days of Queen. We love it. The audience can sometimes be stood right by your feet and the closer you are, the more you feel their energy and the more energy you can give to them,” says James Campion who performs as Roger Taylor in Majesty.
