There is something particularly special about taking the music of Queen across the Atlantic.

In August 2025, Majesty packed the cases, crossed the ocean and headed back to the United States for a run that would take us through five states and six performances — from an intimate theatre in Illinois to outdoor festivals in Indiana and Ohio, a dedicated live music venue in New Hampshire and finally two nights at The Kate in Connecticut.

Different stages. Different audiences. A lot of miles.

But everywhere we went, the songs were the same ones that have connected Queen fans around the world for generations.

And America was ready to sing them.

2025 USA Tour: Six Shows Across Five States

The 2025 USA Tour took Majesty through:

  • 22 August — The Vixen, McHenry, Illinois

  • 23 August — Indiana Bacon Festival, Delphi, Indiana

  • 28 August — Tupelo Music Hall, Derry, New Hampshire

  • 30 August — Portsmouth River Days, Portsmouth, Ohio

  • 2 September — The Kate, Old Saybrook, Connecticut

  • 3 September — The Kate, Old Saybrook, Connecticut

The tour covered everything from traditional seated theatre shows to large community festivals, giving us six very different opportunities to bring Majesty's live celebration of Queen to American audiences.

Opening Night — The Vixen, Illinois

The tour began on 22 August at The Vixen in McHenry, Illinois.

We kicked off at 7:30pm, bringing our live celebration of Queen to an audience of all ages.

There is always an extra bit of adrenaline around the first night of an international run.

You've crossed an ocean, dealt with flights, luggage, equipment and everything else that comes with touring abroad — and then suddenly the lights go down and you're doing the thing you came all that way to do.

The reaction afterwards told us we'd started well.

One audience member wrote:

“You guys were rad. I had an absolute blast! Will definitely round up a bigger group next time you're around.”

That's about as good an invitation back as you can ask for.

Bacon, Bands and Queen — Delphi, Indiana

The following day was something completely different.

Majesty headed to downtown Delphi, Indiana, for the annual Indiana Bacon Festival.

Yes.

A bacon festival.

And frankly, if you're going to travel thousands of miles to play Queen songs, performing at a festival built around “Bacon, Bands and Brew” feels like a fairly magnificent way to spend a Saturday.

The 12th annual event took over Delphi's courthouse square on 23 August, with food vendors, a beer and wine garden, family activities, BBQ competition and live music running throughout the day. Majesty were announced as one of the festival's co-headliners alongside The Music of ABBA performed by SOS from Sweden, with My Best Friend's Girl also appearing on the bill.

The reaction included:

“Thank you! We had so much fun. Great show!”

and:

“You guys were AWESOME!”

Another attendee singled out our Brian May in particular:

“This show was wonderful! Loved Brian even if he wasn't the real deal!!”

We'll let Peter take that one.

Across America to New Hampshire

Five days later, we were in New Hampshire.

Tupelo Music Hall in Derry, New Hampshire — 28 August.

A dedicated live music venue after a weekend of festival stages. Different room, same mission: make some noise.

The verdict underneath it was beautifully straightforward:

“Great night!! What an epic performance.”

And two days later, a New Hampshire fan was still talking about it.

Under photographs from Portsmouth two days afterwards, someone commented:

“You guys were great last Thursday in NH!”

That’s the sort of message we’re very happy to take on the road.

Portsmouth River Days — Queen Outdoors in Ohio

Then it was back on the road for Portsmouth River Days in Ohio.

River Days is a long-running Labor Day weekend celebration, and the 2025 event included its 62nd parade, pageants, community events, a midway, live music and fireworks.

On Saturday 30 August, the evening programme had Electrik Circus at 8pm followed by Majesty at 9pm.

This was Queen on a very different scale again.

Outdoor stage.

Festival crowd.

People discovering Majesty who hadn't necessarily bought a theatre ticket specifically to see us.

And the comments afterwards came flooding in:

“Was there. Loved it.”
“Really enjoyed your show!”
“The show was amazing!”
“You guys were awesome!!!”

And our personal favourite:

“Portsmouth loved you!”

There was another comment underneath the photos that perfectly demonstrated how international touring and the UK theatre calendar can overlap.

A Majesty fan wrote:

“Looked a wonderful night, can't wait to see you in Southend in a few weeks.”

Ohio one month.

Southend the next.

Welcome to Majesty touring.

“The festival shows in America have a completely different energy. You're suddenly in front of people who may never have heard of Majesty before, but within a couple of songs they're singing Queen with you. The welcome we got throughout the tour was fantastic.” - Rob Lea (Freddie Mercury)

Finishing the Tour at The Kate

The final destination was Old Saybrook, Connecticut.

And unlike several of the other stops, this wasn't Majesty's first visit.

The band had previously performed at The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center — better known as The Kate — in September 2023, including multiple performances across the weekend.

In 2025, Majesty returned for two nights: 2 and 3 September, both scheduled for 7:30pm.

After the miles, festivals and changing stages of the preceding fortnight, finishing with two theatre nights felt like a fitting way to close the run.

The response included:

“Fabulous show! So much energy.”
“Great job! Fantastic show!”

And one attendee gave perhaps the best piece of advertising we could ask for:

“This was such an awesome show! Go see them if they head through your town...”

Another described it simply as:

“Amazing performance.”

Two nights in Connecticut brought the 2025 American adventure to a close.

“We'd already had such good memories of playing The Kate, so being invited back and getting to finish the tour there for two nights was really special. American Queen fans always make us feel incredibly welcome, and by the end of that second night none of us particularly wanted the tour to be over.” - Rob Lea (Freddie)

From Theatres to Festivals — One Queen Audience

Looking back, one of the things that makes this particular tour stand out is just how varied it was.

The Vixen was a dedicated theatre and music venue.

Indiana put Majesty in the middle of an outdoor festival celebrating bacon, beer and live music.

Tupelo was an established New Hampshire concert venue.

Portsmouth River Days placed Queen's music into a huge community weekend.

And The Kate brought us back into an intimate theatre for two final evenings.

Yet the audience reaction was remarkably consistent.

People sang.

People danced.

People discovered the show for the first time.

And people asked when we were coming back.

That's the wonderful thing about Queen's music.

Thousands of miles from home, the opening notes of Somebody to Love, Don't Stop Me Now, Radio Ga Ga, We Will Rock You or Bohemian Rhapsody need very little explanation.

Everybody already knows what happens next.

Bringing Majesty Back Home

By the time the cases were finally heading back across the Atlantic, Majesty had completed six shows across Illinois, Indiana, New Hampshire, Ohio and Connecticut.

And there wasn't much time to recover.

Just over two weeks later, the band would be back on stage in Britain for another substantial chapter of 2025:

From American festivals to British theatres, the road simply carried on.

And that's exactly how we like it.
