“Too Much Love Will Kill You” was written by Brian May, and reflects the breakdown of May's first marriage and attraction to his future wife, Anita Dobson. The song was originally recorded in 1989 by Queen, with Freddie Mercury singing the lead vocals.

The song was originally intended to feature on Queen's thirteenth studio album, “The Miracle”. However, due to the band's decision for all songs featuring on the album to be credited to Queen, the song failed to reach a mutual agreement between the band members, thus failing to feature.

May arranged a solo version of the song, which he performed at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992; he later included the song on his solo album “Back To The Light” and released it as a solo single.

The remaining members of Queen decided to include the original version of the song on their fifteenth and final studio album, “Made In Heaven”, which was released as a single on the 26th of February 1996. The song also featured on Queen's compilation album “Greatest Hits III”.

The video for the Queen version of the song is a montage-style video of clips, mainly from live performances and promo videos.
