Queen Rock Montreal has been digitally remastered and shown at IMAX cinemas during January 2024. The IMAX experience offered cinema-goers the chance to see the concert with a stunning high-quality crystal-clear image, whilst rocking out the sound through the 12-channel surround sound speaker system.
The concert was filmed in 1981 at the Montreal Forum and was first released onto VHS in 1984 (under the title We Will Rock You); it was later remastered in 2007 for its release onto DVD and Blu-ray. It was also in 2007 that Queen released the live album CD and triple vinyl.
