“C-lebrity” is the second single released from Queen + Paul Rodgers studio album “The Cosmos Rocks”, released in the UK on the 8th of September 2008.
The song was formed from a lyrical idea from Taylor, told from the perspective of an aspiring celebrity who is undeterred by their obvious lack of talent. At the time of the song's release, this was very relevant due to the obsession of fame and getting seen on TV.
In interviews, Taylor made it quite clear that the word celebrity had become overused and devalued and was annoyed that there were so many famous useless people.
Queen + Paul Rodgers made their live debut of "C-lebrity" on the 4th of April 2008 on the series finale of ITV's Al Murry's Happy Hour. It was first played on UK radio on the 4th of August 2008 on BBC Radio 2 (Ken Bruce's Show)
